In Togo, girls, young women, and women living with HIV/AIDS face daily threats of violence and discrimination. In 2007, a group of them came together to take power into their own hands. By forming Femme Plus Togo, they are boldly mobilizing collective action to end the systemic inequities that have shaped their lives. Today, Femme Plus Togo leads inclusive advocacy campaigns that put the voices of girls, young women, women, and LGBTIQ people front and centre, breaking through silence and stigma to shatter stereotypes and build shared power. Femme Plus Togo also documents and denounces acts of violence against their communities, and provides legal assistance to secure equitable access to healthcare, education, and opportunities to build a more promising future.
