Catherine is honoured to live, learn, and work as an uninvited visitor on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.
Catherine has over six years of experience in the non-profit sector, most recently with the BC Women’s Health Foundation. Her passion lies in taking complex topics and translating them into effective communications campaigns.
Catherine has written op-eds, speeches, video scripts, ads, print communications, social media campaigns, and over 40 educational articles on some of the most pressing topics in the evolving conversation surrounding equity for women, girls, and LGBTQ+ folks. She has led earned media initiatives with a variety of partner organizations including EVA BC, Reciprocal Consulting, Pacific Blue Cross, Options for Sexual Health, and Dense Breasts Canada.
Catherine is always asking questions, and always interested in learning directly from those she wishes to represent in her work. She spends her weekends working at WISH Drop-in Centre supporting the health and safety of women, including cis, trans, and non-binary people who are involved in Vancouver’s street-based sex trade.
