As the Equality Fund’s Project Manager – Philanthropy and Communications, Mathura is a supporter, sounding-board, and facilitator.
She brings over fifteen years of experience in policy, programming, and advocacy, having worked across higher education, government, and the nonprofit sector. Mathura completed a master’s degree in public policy at the University of Waterloo and was Community-Builder Fellow at the University of Toronto.
As a passionate advocate for gender and racial equality, Mathura works to center the voices of racialized women and build anti-colonial frameworks of power. She is deeply interested in the intersections of finance and feminism; sexual and reproductive rights; decent work; and community-based approaches to policy and programming. An active supporter of racialized communities, she serves on a range of Boards and Committees in Ontario, Canada.
In her spare time, Mathura enjoys reading, spending time with her family, watching Great British Bake Off and Artist of the Year, and spending time in nature.
